Flail mower with combustion engine or what is an ATV mower?

A mower with its own combustion engine, attached to various vehicles - this is an ATV mower (from English All-Terrain Vehicle). There is no exact definition of an ATV mower, but it is certainly a device for mowing grass, which, thanks to the fact that it has its own engine, does not need power transmitted e.g. from a tractor or other machine (PTO shaft). The ATV mower does not have its own drive, so it must be towed, and this is most often done using a tow bar or a ball hitch on a car trailer. Despite the fact that the machine has an engine, the ATV mower must be towed by another machine, because the mower's combustion engine only drives the cutting shaft or cutting blades, i.e. it is only responsible for mowing the grass.

Types of ATV mowers:

• ATV flail mower,
• ATV mower care,

which differ from each other in terms of the cutting unit. In ATV flail mowers these are special ATV hammers, flails placed on the cutting shaft, and in ATV grooming mowers, a special ATV knife or knives that rotate in the same way as a helicopter propeller are responsible for cutting the grass.

Manual starter or electric starter?

Regardless of the version of the flail mower we will choose:

• ATV-E - version with electric starter,
• ATV-M - with manual starter (jerker),

all ATV mower engines are equipped with a manual starter as standard. The difference between the ATVM and ATVE mower models is the electrical system and the battery, which is visible in the ATV-E mowers, which obviously makes operating this version of the mower very comfortable, just turn the key to start the mower.

The flail mower has flails: Flail for FCN ATV flail mower 12 mm 150 g , is attached to a quad / ATV, ideal for maintaining lawns, gardens, sports facilities and parks.

The engine in this model is a 4-stroke single-cylinder Lifan, OVH 15 HP, petrol with manual start. The mower has its own drive, so we can use it by connecting it to a quad or off-road vehicle, for example. A balanced shaft with flail blades allows the device to function efficiently, while the high shredding speed ensures good work results. The mower has an ISO-50 car hitch.
