The drum mower is characterized by simple construction and universal applications. In adrum mower, the drive is transmitted through an angular gearbox located in the upper part of the machine. There are freely rotating sliding plates in the lower part of the drums. They determine the cutting height and are an element that copies the ground surface. However, in the case of disc mowers, the main working element is not the drums, but the cutting beam consisting of several discs mounted on the frame which houses the drive transmission system.
