MBER 100 Geograss - what does a tractor shredder mower look like and what is it?

A shredder mower for grass is a tractor mower, because it relies on the power of the tractor engine (or another machine) and must be mounted on the rear or front 3-point linkage of the tractor, commonly abbreviated as TUZ. Power from the tractor is transmitted to the mower gearbox by a PTO power transmission shaft, and from the gearbox, without a clutch, to the hub on which the cutting blades are mounted. This solution requires additional protection against damage to the gearbox or blades. When the mower hits an obstacle or clogs with cut material, the lack of a clutch in the gearbox may damage the gearbox, the shaft or the blades, so the manufacturer recommends using PTO (power transmission) shafts with a clutch or with a so-called breakaway wedge.

The way the blades rotate is the same regardless of the blades used - in every case they rotate like a helicopter propeller. The difference between mowers lies in the size of the cutting blade itself and the size of the rotating bar to which the blades are bolted.

The frame design of the MBER100 Geograss mower allows the mower turret to be shifted horizontally relative to the tractor axis, which moves the mower beyond the tractor outline (right / left side, shift of about 100 mm).
