Mulching - an additional function of the flail mower

The AGHKC mower not only mows grass but also mulches it. This process consists of cutting and shredding vegetation at the same time, which allows it to decompose naturally and enrich the soil. Mulching has many advantages, such as:

• reduced soil erosion,
• slower weed growth,
• no need to remove the mown vegetation.

Not only grasses but also harvest residues can be mulched, which contributes to their natural mineralization and reduces the presence of pests living in plant stems.

Technical specification of the AGHKC 220 model

The AGHKC 220 mower has a working width of 220 cm and is mounted to the tractor with a 3-point linkage Cat. II. Depending on need, the rear flap can be closed or open, which makes work easier in difficult conditions, e.g. when mowing wet and dense grass. The machine has three operating modes:

1. Flap closed,
2. Flap open - range 1,
3. Flap open - range 2.

The mower is driven by the tractor PTO, working at 540 rpm. It is also equipped with a rear roller 12 cm in diameter and adjustable skids with three settings (50 mm).

An important piece of equipment is the counter-blades, of which the AGHKC model has 14. They can be adjusted to five positions, which enables effective shredding of various plants. Simple maintenance and replacement of these elements keeps the mower highly efficient for a long time.

To ensure optimal performance, it is very important to check the sharpness of the cutting elements regularly. A sharp mowing mechanism ensures efficient and precise work.
