The modern agricultural machinery market offers more and more solutions that support the maintenance of green areas. This gives us the choice not only of how to mow meadows, wasteland and other green areas, but also of how to manage the cut grass.

Among the available options, flail mowers, often described as equipment for “special tasks”, have become very popular. Their advantage is their effectiveness in mowing both tall grass and difficult terrain. As the name suggests, these mowers work with flails mounted on the cutting shaft. The rotating shaft, working at the appropriate speed, effectively cuts vegetation above the set height.

AGHKC flail mower - a versatile and efficient mulcher

The AGHKC model, colloquially called a “mulcher”, is a flail mower with a solid construction, equipped with a hydraulic side shift function. Thanks to this solution, the machine performs very well in demanding terrain conditions, working both directly behind the tractor and to its side. It is an excellent tool for maintaining wasteland, meadows and heavily overgrown areas, as well as for municipal companies that look after green areas along motorways and expressways.

Mulching - an additional function of the flail mower

The AGHKC mower not only mows grass but also mulches it. This process consists of cutting and shredding the vegetation at the same time, which allows it to decompose naturally and fertilize the soil. Mulching has many advantages, such as:

• reduced soil erosion,
• slower weed growth,
• no need to dispose of cut vegetation.

Not only grass can be mulched, but also crop residues, which contributes to their natural mineralization and reduces the presence of pests living in plant stems.

Technical specification of the AGHKC 200 model

The AGHKC 200 mower has a working width of 200 cm and is mounted to the tractor with a 3-point linkage Cat. II. Depending on need, the rear flap can be closed or open, which makes work easier in difficult conditions, e.g. when mowing wet and dense grass. The machine has three operating modes:

1. Flap closed,
2. Flap open - range 1,
3. Flap open - range 2.

The mower is driven by the tractor PTO shaft running at 540 rpm. It is also equipped with a rear roller with a diameter of 12 cm and adjustable skids with three settings (50 mm).

An important part of the equipment is the counter-blades; the AGHKC model has 13 of them. They can be adjusted to five positions, which enables effective shredding of various plants. Simple maintenance and replacement of these elements means the mower keeps its high performance for a long time.

To ensure optimal performance, it is very important to check the sharpness of the cutting elements regularly. A sharp mowing mechanism guarantees effective and precise work.
