The modern market for agricultural machinery offers a growing number of solutions that support the maintenance of green areas. This gives us a choice not only of how to mow meadows, wasteland and other green areas, but also of how to manage the cut grass.

Among the available options, flail mowers, often described as "special purpose" equipment, have become very popular. Their advantage is that they mow effectively both tall grass and difficult terrain. As the name suggests, these mowers work with a system of flail blades mounted on the cutting shaft. The rotating shaft, working at the appropriate speed, effectively cuts the vegetation above the set height.

AGHKC flail mower - a versatile and efficient mulcher

The AGHKC model, commonly called a "mulcher", is a flail mower with a solid construction and a hydraulic side shift function. Thanks to this solution, the machine performs very well in demanding terrain, allowing work both directly behind the tractor and to its side. It is an excellent tool for maintaining wasteland, meadows and heavily overgrown areas, as well as for municipal companies maintaining greenery along motorways and expressways.

Mulching - an additional function of the flail mower

The AGHKC mower not only mows grass but also mulches it. This process consists of cutting and shredding the vegetation at the same time, which allows it to decompose naturally and enrich the soil. Mulching has many advantages, such as:

• reducing soil erosion,
• slowing weed growth,
• eliminating the problem of removing the cut vegetation.

Not only grasses can be mulched, but also crop residue, which contributes to its natural mineralisation and reduces the presence of pests living in plant stems.

Technical specification of the AGHKC 200 model

The AGHKC 200 mower has a working width of 200 cm and is attached to the tractor with a 3-point linkage Cat. II. Depending on needs, the rear flap can be closed or open, which makes work easier in difficult conditions, e.g. when mowing wet and dense grass. The machine has three operating modes:

1. Flap closed,
2. Flap open - range 1,
3. Flap open - range 2.

The mower is driven by the tractor PTO running at 540 rpm. It is also equipped with a ground-following roller 12 cm in diameter and adjustable skids with three settings (50 mm).

An important piece of equipment is the counter blades; the AGHKC model has 13 of them. They can be adjusted to five positions, which enables effective shredding of various plants. Simple maintenance and replacement of these parts allow the mower to keep its high performance over a long time.

To ensure optimal performance, it is extremely important to check the sharpness of the cutting elements regularly. A sharp cutting mechanism ensures effective and precise work.
