The selection of agricultural machinery available to support the maintenance of green areas is constantly growing. Currently, we have a wide range of possibilities when it comes to mowing meadows, wasteland, green areas, and what we want to do with the mown grass.

Flail mowers have gained particular interest from many of our customers. Often referred to as "special purpose mowers" because they can easily mow even tall grass. As the name suggests, flail mowers are mowers in which the mowing function is performed by flails placed spirally on the cutting shaft. The cutting shaft rotates at the appropriate speed around its axis, mowing what is above a certain height.

AGLK-K double-sided flail mower, popularly called "mulcher", is an advanced model of mowing machine, characterized by high efficiency and multifunctionality. It has the ability to side shift and tilt the mowing unit, and these parameters are adjusted using a hydraulic system. Thanks to this solution, the AGLK flail mower offers a wide range of applications. In addition to standard mowing of green areas in cities, wastelands, meadows and pastures, it is also perfect for sloping areas. It can be used for mowing roadsides, slopes, ditches and pond embankments. Its universality lies in the fact that it can be operated both from the side and behind the tractor. Regularly checking the sharpness of the cutting mechanism is extremely important when having a flail mower. This is crucial to ensure efficient and effective mowing.

In addition to mowing, the flail mower also has a mulching function. What is it about?

Mulching with a flail mower is a technique of mowing grass or other organic materials and grinding the cut material to serve as a natural fertilizer, enriching the soil. It is also an effective method of preventing soil erosion, inhibiting weed growth and eliminating the problem of stuck mown materials.

Mulching is not limited to grass. This technique can also be used for crop residues. This is an effective way to reduce the amount of harvest residue, while providing a natural fertilizer to the soil and protecting against pests that may reside in above-ground plant residues.

The AGLK-K 165 flail mower (mulcher) has a cutting width of 165 cm, which is one of four available sizes. The AGLK-K model has hydraulic adjustment of both the inclination and extension of the machine. The mower's tilt range is 90° vertically and 55° horizontally. The drive is provided by the tractor's power take-off shaft, which rotates at a speed of 540 rpm.

When choosing a flail mower, it is important to properly match it to the power and weight of our tractor. AGLK-K 165 flail mower requires a minimum tractor power of 40 HP.
