AGH boom mowers are driven by the tractor's power take-off shaft (shaft with knives/flails), and a simple hydraulic system is responsible for extending the mower. Lawn mowers apart from the so-called side shift, they can operate the cutting unit in a horizontal and vertical position.

How does the AGF180 4RARMER boom flail mower work?

The operation of the AGH flail mower / cutting unit is only possible after connecting the PTO shaft, which connects the tractor's output shaft with the angle gear located on the side of the mower housing. The power from the engine is transmitted (PTO shaft) to the mower's gearbox and from the angular gearbox to the pulleys. V-belts are placed on the pulleys, which set the cutting shaft in motion. The tractor's hydraulic system (2 hydraulic sections required) is responsible for moving the arm and leveling the mower.The hydraulic lines of the rear-side mower are connected to it.

The AGH180 4FARMER manufacturer does not recommend replacing hammer flails with Y-type knives, which are often used interchangeably with the nominal flails of flail mowers. The cutting width of the Y-type knives may not cover the mowing surface covered by the cutting part of the flail dedicated to the 4FARMER AGH180 mower - RM-30.
